Mimorone is a brand of handmade silk accessories, conceived by women living in the Fukushima Prefecture town of Odaka, Minamisoma city. Traditionally a center of sericulture, infrastructure was heavily damaged in the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Local women came together, learning anew how to raise silkworms, harvest the cocoons and spin silk. The silk is dyed with natural pigments produced from vegetables and herbs and flowers growing in the nearby mountains.

The logo design evokes a swinging baton, arousing support for Odaka from throughout Japan.
